The world’s largest producer of chicken, the U.S. poultry industry has become a major player in global trade.
It accounts for more than 70 per cent of global exports, according to the International Trade Centre (ITC).
This means that the industry employs more than half of the global workforce, according the US Department of Agriculture (USDA).
However, its contribution to global trade is not all about the chickens.
