How to buy and sell fresh poultry

The new regulations come amid rising concerns that the U.S. poultry industry could be in for a dramatic collapse in 2019 as a result of the new law.

The Food and Drug Administration on Tuesday finalized rules that will require meat processors to conduct “pre-market” inspections for live birds and poultry at least six weeks before they’re sold, and the agency is also requiring meat processors who want to sell meat from live animals to do the same.
